Wizkid unveils tracklist for Morayo album

• Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun alias Wizkid has released the tracklist for his highly-anticipated album, “Morayo”.
• The 16-track masterpiece will showcase Wizkid’s artistic growth and versatility.
• “Morayo” boasts an impressive lineup of collaborations with international and local artists, including Asake, Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, and Anais.

Nigerian Grammy-winning artiste, Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has unveiled the tracklist for his upcoming album ‘Morayo’.

The highly anticipated project, scheduled for November 22, is a tribute to Jane Dolapo Balogun, Wizkid’s late mother, who passed away in August 2023.

In the tracklist, released late on Monday, the singer features artistes like Asake, Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, Anaïs, and Tiakola.

The album comprises 16 tracks including, ‘Troubled Mind’, ‘Karamo’, ‘Kese (Dance)’, ‘Bad Girl’, ‘Time’, ‘Piece of My Heart’, ‘Break Me Down’, ‘Bend’, and ‘A Million Blessings’.

Others are ‘Après Minuit’, ‘Bad for You’, ‘Soji’, ‘Don’t Care’, ‘Slow’, ‘Lose’, and ‘Pray’.

Wizkid already released ‘Kese Dance’ and ‘Piece of My Heart’, a collaborative project with an American singer-songwriter, Brent Faiyaz.

The multiple-award winner earlier revealed that his forthcoming album is a tribute to Jane Dolapo Balogun, his late mother, who died in August 2023.

He also confirmed the body of work will be released on November 22.

“Morayo. Pre-save album! Nov 22,” Wizkid wrote.

‘Piece of My Heart’ is a track from the upcoming project ‘Morayo’, an album dedicated to his late mother.

Born in Surulere on July 16, 1990, Wizkid grew up in a polygamous home with a Muslim father and a Christian mother.

In December, Wizkid released his latest musical project, the “Soundman Vol. 2” EP.

The four-tracks project includes vibrant collaborations with industry heavyweights Wande Coal and Zlatan Ibile.

He has released four additional albums including, ‘Ayo’ in 2014, ‘Sound From The Other Side’ in 2017.

Notably, ‘Soundman Vol. 1’ was released in December 2019. ‘Made In Lagos’ in 2020, and ‘More Love, Less Ego’ in 2022.

The singer has also received numerous recognitions, including a Grammy Award in 2021 for his collaboration with Beyoncé on the hit song ‘Brown Skin Girl’.

‘Made In Lagos’ was recently announced as the most streamed Nigerian album on Apple Music.
