American music superstar Beyoncé has been named the greatest pop star of the 21st century, according to Billboard.

The prestigious honor comes as part of the publication’s recognition of the most influential and groundbreaking artists in modern pop music.

Securing the second spot is pop sensation Taylor Swift, whose career has spanned numerous record-breaking albums and chart-topping hits.

In third place is Rihanna, the billionaire Barbadian singer known for her diverse career and influential presence in music and fashion.

Canadian rapper Drake claims the fourth position, while Lady Gaga rounds out the top five with her genre-defying artistry.

The top 10 is completed by other global stars, including Britney Spears, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and British singer Adele, each of whom has contributed significantly to shaping pop music in the 21st century.

Beyoncé’s unparalleled success is further highlighted by her impressive achievements. She holds the title as the most-nominated artist in the history of the Grammy Awards, with a staggering 99 nominations.

Additionally, she is the most-awarded artist in Grammy history, boasting an extraordinary 32 Grammy wins to her name.

In response to the recognition, Davido, the Nigerian Afrobeats star, took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Beyoncé’s monumental achievement.

In other news, Famous Grammy-winning singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has been declared the biggest Nigerian artist of all time on Apple Music.

The announcement was made as the streaming giant celebrated Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day by revealing the top 10 most streamed Nigerian artists and songs in its history.

Leading the chart, Burna Boy secured the top spot, followed closely by Wizkid, Davido, Rema, and Asake.

The remaining five artists on the list include Tems, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, BNXN, and Olamide, rounding off the top 10.

In addition to artist rankings, Apple Music also highlighted the most streamed Nigerian songs on its platform.
