Burna Boy gave police officers bundles of cash, I’ve exhausted all my connections – Speed Darlington’s lawyer
  • Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Alieke, has addressed the public once again concerning Akpi’s case.
  • Alieke alleged in an Instagram video that Burna Boy bribed police officers with cash to keep Speed Darlington behind bars.
  • He affirmed that he had exhausted all his connections to get Akpi out of police custody yet none yielded a positive result.

Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Alieke speaks amid the rapper’s continued detention despite being granted bail by a court.

In an Instagram video, Alieke insinuated that Burna Boy bribed police officers to keep Speed Darlington behind bars.

He alleged that during Burna Boy’s first visit to the police station, he handed out some bundles of cash to the officers.

Alieke expressed frustration over the lack of support from influential figures to get Speed Darlington out of police custody, adding that he has exhausted all his connections.

Sharing the video online, he wrote:

“In suit No; FHC/ABJ/CS/1832/2024, between Darlington Achakpo v IGP, Hon Justice Liman of the Federal High Court, Abuja on monday, the 23/12/20240 ruled that Akpi should be granted unconditional bail by the police within the next 48 hours but the Police have wilfully disregarded the order of the court.
