Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has expressed her admiration for her 11-year-old daughter, Olivia Idibia, who demonstrated remarkable compassion and empathy on her birthday.
Annie revealed that she asked her 11 year old daughter what she wanted for her birthday, and she requested a party with less privileged children.
Annie Idibia revealed that her daughter’s selfless wish brought her to tears.
The actress recalled that Olivia had expressed a similar desire the previous year, but it wasn’t possible at the time.
Sharing a video from the party, Annie wrote:
“It was our Superstar Birthday she just turned 11.
When Daddy and I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday.
She could’ve asked for anything, but my baby asked for us for an opportunity to celebrate her birthday party with children who aren’t PRIVILEGED!!!
I’m like. Livy, are u sure this is what u really for ur bday? She said: yes, mama, I wanted to do it last year for my 10th. remember I mentioned it last year?” I knew she mentioned it but didn’t take it seriously as we didn’t do any party for her 10th.
I no to lie; it got me so teary, and it struck me once again that this child wasn’t only thinking way beyond her age (we always knew that part), but it was her heart. The thoughts, gosh! the honesty in her eyes.” Na wetin my pikin wan do for her bday? It got me teary and so emotional! God! I was just PROUD!
She went on, “And Mama, remember u used to do this during our own bdays too. It was always really nice, but erm I want an ACTUAL PARTY oooo u know now
mama everything, music, DJ, games, etc.”.
