Vanessa Okoye, the daughter of music executive Paul Okoye, has fired back at singer Spyro after he granted an interview discussing his experience with her father’s record label.

Spyro had opened up about the challenges he faced while signed to the label, but Vanessa was having none of it.

She took to her Instagram story to call out the singer, labeling him a “one hit wonder” and stating that he was “crazy” for speaking negatively about her father and the record label.

Vanessa claimed that Spyro was talking gibberish in the interview and prayed that God would forgive him for his words.

She also pointed out that many artists have a habit of biting the hand that feeds them, and it seems that Spyro is no exception.

In a bid to set the record straight, Vanessa shared a breakdown of the expenses incurred by the record label on Spyro’s behalf, including a whopping N4.2 million spent on recording two music videos.

She also listed other expenses such as travel costs which amounted to 12 million naira, but noted that despite the investment, Spyro generate any money for the label.

Small one hit.

You are granting interviews talking rubbish.

The way a lot of you are so quick to bite the hand that has once helped you before.

God forgive you.”

In other news, Spyro spoke on a sour deal he had with music executive, Ubi Franklin.

In a recent interview on The Link Up podcast, Spyro opened up about how he was allegedly scammed by Ubi Franklin, who used Davido’s name to convince him to perform at an event.

According to Spyro, Ubi Franklin approached him with a proposal to perform at a birthday party, claiming that Davido had invited him and would pay him 5K for the performance.

However, Spyro was sceptical about the payment and expressed his concerns to Ubi Franklin, stating that his minimum performance fee was N20 million. Despite his reservations, Ubi Franklin convinced him to perform, and Spyro eventually took the stage.

After the performance, Spyro asked Ubi Franklin about the payment, only to be told that Davido was not aware of the arrangement.

Speaking on this, Spyro described it as a broad daylight scam, stating that Ubi Franklin used Davido’s name to get him.
