Nigerian media personality Shade Ladipo has shared her thoughts on the ongoing controversy between singer Spyro and music executive Pauloo.
In a post on her Instagram stories, Ladipo acknowledged Pauloo as her senior while also defending Spyro’s account of his experiences in the music industry.
Shade Ladipo emphasized that Spyro’s statements about the industry were true and should not be dismissed.
She wrote, “PaulO na my Oga but Spyro did not tell i single lie. There are teeeww many jokers in this Nigerian Music scene who believe because they have existed in that ecosystem and have some form of influence all of a sudden understand talent or record label management. My Egbons No be by ‘I don dey industry for 50 years.”
She cautioned music executives, including Pauloo, against taking personal offense when artists share their stories.
Ladipo advised them to take both their successes and failures in stride.
She praised Don Jazzy and Mavin Records as an example of a successful record label management.
“Only Don Jazzy/Mavin has proven without reasonable doubt that he understands Talent & Record Label Management. My other Egbons. Proudly take your Ls without feeling attacked. Someone sharing an account of their story doesn’t mean they are trying to attack you. If it happened then it happened. Following Paulo’s reaction to Spyro’s outburst, his daughter, Vanessa blasts the singer over recent interview about father.
Vanessa claimed that Spyro was talking gibberish in the interview and prayed that God would forgive him for his words.
