Burna Boy supposedly reacts to Speed Darlington’s release from prison
  • Burna Boy has seemingly reacted to the release of Speed Darlington from prison.
  • The controversial singer was arrested in 2024 and detained for two month before his release on Tuesday, January 21.
  • While fans of Akpi have expressed their excitement, Burna Boy seems to have issued a stern warning.

Grammy-winning singer, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has seemingly reacted to the release of his controversial colleague, Speed Darlington, from Kuje prison.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Darlington, who was arrested and detained by the police for reportedly accusing Burna Boy of having an immoral relationship with embattled American rapper and music executive Diddy, was released on Tuesday, weeks after he was granted bail.

Reacting to his release, Burna Boy threatened to send Akpi back to detention if he “misbehaved” again.

Speed Darlington also known as Akpi, was earlier arrested on October 4, following the release of a contentious video in which he allegedly mocked his colleague, Burna Boy’s association with American rapper Diddy, who has faced legal issues with the FBI over charges of sexual exploitation.

The outspoken Nigerian singer was, however, released on bail on October 9 after spending five days in detention.

He was rearrested in Owerri, November 27, 2024 before his latest release.

In other news, Nigerian disc jockey, Nonso Temisan Ajufo, popularly known as DJ Big N, has recounted how he narrowly escaped death during a robbery attack in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The disc jockey revealed that he was on his way to a club on the 12th of January alongside an acquaintance when they were ambushed by a gang of six men.

He said he was shot in the leg while attempting to escape during the robbery. He said the robbers took away his jewellery and other valuables worth $114,000.

DJ Big N shared that he was rushed to a nearby hospital and the doctors described his survival as “miraculous.”
