Prioritize your kids well-being – Iyabo Ojo urges 2Baba, Annie Idibia amid divorce reports
  • Iyabo Ojo has reacted to the ongoing divorce saga involving singer 2Baba and his wife, Annie Idibia in a post on Instagram
  • She admonished both parties to prioritise their children’s welfare, but also berated the singer about making their personal choices public.

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared her take about the ongoing saga involving singer Innocent Idibia and his estranged wife, Annie Idibia.

Recall that the singer had announced the end of his marriage to Annie. Old videos of the two of them began surfacing online after the announcement, as well as many netizens and colleagues sharing their hot takes.

Joining the bandwagon in a post on her Instagram story, Iyabo Ojo stated that when love fades, the estranged couple’s children’s welfare should take priority.

Ojo added that loved ones should not be abandoned in their darkest moments, even if separation is inevitable. She prayed that her colleague Annie will find the strength to prioritise her children’s well-being, encouraging her to stay strong because the storm will soon be over.

The Nollywood star then admonished 2Baba that while she adores him and his estranged wife, the timing of the separation announcement is off.

She accused him of being unsympathetic towards Annie’s plight who is currently going through a vulnerable phase. She further expressed disappointment, writing:

“A heartfelt reminder to couples: when love fades, prioritize your children’s well-being. As parents, sacrifices are essential. Never abandon loved ones in their darkest moments, even if separation or divorce is inevitable.

Let’s emphasize empathy and our children’s mental health.

Sensitive issues shouldn’t be publicly aired; social media sometimes disregards the well-being of those involved.

@official2baba

2baba, I adore you both, but this timing was off. Adding fuel to the fire, burning the mother of your kids who’s already vulnerable. Is so unempathic I’m disappointed.

@annieidibia1

May you both find inner strength to prioritize your children’s needs. Annie, this storm will pass. #StayStrong”
