Eminem’s comments came after the 67th Grammy Awards, which took place on January 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
He questioned the authenticity of the awards, suggesting that they are given to artists who are favored by the committee rather than those who are most deserving.
The rapper also mentioned that if he were to lose to someone like Kanye West, he would understand, given West’s significant impact in the music industry.
He took issue with the fact that the Grammys often nominate well-known artists like himself to boost ratings, only to give the awards to lesser-known individuals.
Eminem declared that he would never attend the ceremony again, stating that his answer would be “no” for the next 100 million years.

If I lose to fvcking kanye or someone that I’m like okay, I respect that I know who that is, and Kanye has a huge following, he made a massive impact on music, but don’t fvcking get us all here to use your selling point for your fvking show and stiff everybody every single fvking time.
Don’t ever ask me to fvcking come here again, please do not ask me, my answer is No, for 100 million years. Never again will I fvcking go to the Grammy.”
