Controversial singer, Portable has reacted after Nigerian-British rapper, Skepta feared that he would soon be dragged by him, just like he did with his former helper, Olamide.
The Zazu crooner took to his Instagram page to set the record straight, stating that he would never drag Skepta’s name through the mud because the rapper has been a significant helper in his career.
Portable went on to enumerate the various ways Skepta has impacted his life, including introducing him to the British music scene and linking him up with influential people in the fashion industry.
He also revealed that Skepta had provided him with financial support, which has enabled him to enjoy a more comfortable lifestyle.
The Nigerian star emphasized that Skepta is a God-sent helper who has always been there for him, and he would never repay his kindness by speaking ill of him.
In a passionate plea, Portable warned his fans and critics not to twist his words or try to drive a wedge between him and Skepta.
He reiterated that Skepta is his helper and a blessing from God, and he would always be grateful for the opportunities he has provided.
Portable’s initial outburst was triggered by his recent criticism of Olamide, who he felt did not believe in him enough to sign him to his record label.
The Zazu crooner expressed his disappointment and hurt, stating that he had always looked up to Olamide as a mentor and was willing to sign a contract with him if given the opportunity.

“Now, I’m a British artist, I can speak English. Skepta na him carry me go London, I’m a fashionista, na Skepta link me up with all those people who gave me shoes and clothes. Skepta gave me money, I made a lot. He’s my helper, I can never drag him! He still did me a favour recently, he was in my DM yesterday and the day before yesterday. He’s my helper everytime, a God sent, God bless Skepta everytime. No go spoil me for my helper o, you these useless people. No be person go carry me reach there? Make Skepta dey carry me dey go, the person who made me collect Sony money, the person who filled me in. Don’t be twisting my words.”
“I say make Olamide sign me back then, why Olamide no sign me? Why he no believe in me? My helper? Na wetin pain me be dat. I only believe in him. He helped a lot of people, if he told me to sign a contract, I would have signed it, that’s what I’m saying.”
