Just weeks after publicly apologizing to Tonto Dikeh, actress Doris Ogala has made a sharp U-turn.
In a now-deleted Instagram post shared on Wednesday, Doris emphatically distanced herself from her former friend and fellow Nollywood star, declaring that their relationship was never as deep as the public believed.
The tone of her message clearly reflects she wants no association whatsoever with the controversial actress and politician. She wrote:
“Please, please, I beg you people in the name of God… This woman called Tonto and I are actually not friends as it seemed on social media. We are two different people. We hardly see each other, only when I visit Abuja.”
“Please please 🙏 I disassociate my self completely with her.“
Doris, clearly agitated, went further, calling Tonto a “shameless, disgusting human being” and vowing to go live on Instagram soon to share receipts that expose the “true nature” of their friendship. She continued:
“We were never that sugar and butter like you people thought… I don’t want to be associated with a shameless, disgusting human being. In fact, I’ll come live to share more light on this.”
In another post, she described Tonto as the “most heartless person” she has ever encountered, expressing deep regret for ever associating with her.
This sharp turn comes just weeks after Doris posted a heartfelt apology in June, where she expressed remorse to Tonto, Angela Okorie, and AGN president Emeka Rollas, claiming that grief and emotional trauma influenced her previous outbursts. She wrote:
“I want to sincerely apologise to my friends… They hurt me in one way, but I believe I overreacted. I was really traumatised, had a lot going on — the passing of my brother, my surgery, etc. Maybe I expected too much from them… From my heart of hearts, I am truly sorry.”
At the time, many fans thought peace had finally returned between the feuding celebrities. But the latest outburst shows that whatever truce they had was short-lived and perhaps superficial.
This isn’t the first time the two Nollywood actresses have locked horns. Earlier this year, in January, Doris publicly accused Tonto of recruiting people to bully her online and also denied ever receiving a Bentley from the actress as some had claimed. She stated boldly at the time:
“I’m not the kind of girl that can be bought with a car. I have integrity.”
The drama appeared to have cooled off after Doris’ public apology, but this recent declaration suggests things have taken a fresh, possibly irreversible turn.
Interestingly, Tonto Dikeh has not publicly responded to Doris Ogala’s renewed attacks at the time of filing this report.
