F**k you Kate, you knew I wanted to hit that – Jim Iyke to Kate Henshaw in explosive birthday post

Kate Henshaw | Jim Iyke

Trust Jim Iyke to never do anything by the book and definitely not a birthday wish.

The Nollywood bad boy set social media on fire with a raw, profanity-laced, yet strangely touching open letter to fellow actor Kate Henshaw on her birthday.

WITHIN NIGERIA earlier reported that the movie star turned 54 on Saturday, July 19.

Jim Iyke’s post, which opened with a bold “F**k you, Kate,” was anything but your typical birthday message and fans are still trying to catch their breath.

In the brutally honest piece, Jim Iyke pulled no punches as he walked readers through their shared history. It was a blend of unrequited desire, admiration, regret, and deep affection.

He recalled how Kate Henshaw looked out for him as a struggling 23-year-old, giving him heads-up on auditions, slipping him transport money, and generally acting like a big sister… even when he wished for something more. He wrote:

“You kept manipulating my black ass by always looking out for me. Every time I stared into those dancing, beautiful eyes of yours, you knew I had imaginations that were far from friendly.”

Jim didn’t stop there. He went on to describe their eventual romantic entanglement, which came at a time when he was “at the apex” of his wild and restless phase, overwhelmed by fame and poor decisions.

When Kate Henshaw eventually moved on and married someone else, he admits he wasn’t fazed but felt proud when she had a beautiful child from the union.

Then, with shocking candor, he addressed the impact Kate Henshaw has had on younger women trying to emulate her beauty and energy. In a mix of praise and frustration, he wrote:

“You’ve caused hysteria, depression, anxiety, admiration, love, hate… Poor darlings have had to BBL it, snatch it, needle it, bleach it, even voodoo that sh*t to no avail. Nature, commitment, and sacrifice didn’t create it. It can’t be manufactured. It’s a Kate Henshaw world.”

Despite the repeated use of “F**k you” as a refrain, it’s clear Jim’s message was a complex love letter wrapped in humour, heartbreak, and huge admiration.

He ended the emotional rollercoaster with heartfelt words:

“Time, matter, space and energy got nothing on our journey. Ours is the Barometer. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAREST KO! YOU’RE A PHENOMENAL CREATURE. A FORCE OF NATURE. Your wild boy loves you.”

Jim’s post has since gone viral, with many calling it “chaotic poetry”. Fans have praised the honesty and vulnerability behind the tough-guy tone, while others are simply stunned at the emotional depth he brought to a birthday shout-out. See screenshot of Jim Iyke’s full post below:
