“Broccoli over amala” – Olamide’s shocking diet confession sparks heated debate online

In a refreshingly candid chat with content creator Korty EO on her Flow With Korty series, Nigerian rap icon Olamide revealed his surprisingly healthy eating habits and why he no longer indulges in some beloved Nigerian staples.

When asked about his favourite food, the Melo Melo crooner laughed and confessed:

“Food? I’m not a big fan of food. But I can k*ll for broccoli.”

His unexpected love for the green vegetable stunned Korty, who repeated in disbelief, “Broccoli?” Olamide then doubled down. He explained that alongside broccoli, he enjoys sea bass fish, lamb chops and caviar, which he calls “light stuff.”

When pressed about Nigerian delicacies like amala, the YBNL boss admitted he used to enjoy them but avoids them now:

“Those things, man… Man’s gonna be like bloated all day. All because I want to chop? Nah. I need to be comfortable.”

Korty called him a “healthy guy”, a label Olamide proudly embraced.

Olamide’s food preference didn’t go unnoticed, as fans were divided over his choice. While some applauded him for choosing to eat healthy, others claimed it was pretense. See reactions below:
