Nollywood actress and singer Angela Okorie has shut down online speculations linking her recent remarks about Naira Marley to actress Iyabo Ojo.

The controversy began after Angela posted a cryptic message on social media, accusing an unnamed colleague of offering a “fake apology”, one given privately but never repeated in public. She wrote:

“If you can apologize at the back and can’t do it publicly, then it is fake apology.”

Iyabo Ojo’s fans quickly assumed the post was directed at her and flooded Angela’s Instagram comment section with drags. But in a fiery clapback, Angela set the record straight:

“Stop pushing wrong narratives. I wasn’t talking to aunty Iyabo. I was talking about who was dragging me for Naira’s number. She called me behind to apologize to me for over 1 hour but couldn’t say it publicly!”

According to Angela, Naira Marley offered her encouragement during a difficult period in her life, which eventually led them to work on a song together.

Her stance and fiery clarification, have only intensified the debate online, as fans continue to pick sides between defending Angela’s loyalty and questioning her public support for Naira Marley.
