Afrobeats sensation Oxlade has given credit where it’s due and it’s all love for fellow singer Fireboy DML.
In a candid livestream chat with content creator Shank Comics, the ‘Kulosa’ hitmaker opened up about the early days of his music career, revealing that Fireboy played a crucial role in helping him evolve from just vibes to structured artistry. Oxlade declared:
“When it comes to pen game, nobody is touching him. I learnt how to properly compose music from Fireboy. He was miles ahead.”
According to Oxlade, Fireboy’s mentorship didn’t just polish his skills, it transformed his entire approach to music. The singer admitted that before Fireboy’s guidance, he hadn’t quite mastered the art of composing songs the right way. He added:
“He was part of my transition into making proper music before I started doing my own thing. Him putting me on was life-changing.”

The statement has drawn praise from fans who admired Oxlade’s humility and respect for his peer. It’s not every day a major artist openly acknowledges learning from another especially one so close in age and career level.
Online reactions have also spotlighted Fireboy’s lyricism, with many agreeing that the YBNL signee remains one of the strongest writers in the game.

In other news, bride and groom, Davido and Chioma are trending over a sultry video that’s got the internet buzzing. The Afrobeats superstar was caught on camera getting hands-on with his wife in Miami, and social media has had plenty to say.
In the now-viral slide, Davido is seen standing behind Chioma, holding her closely while she smiles at the camera in a stunning black halter-neck dress with a high slit. The chemistry is undeniable but so is the controversy.
While fans gushed over the couple’s public display of affection, not everyone was clapping. Some called it cute. Others thought it crossed the line, they pointed out how Davido’s hands seem a little too eager to explore Chioma’s privates.
