Celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest has expressed mixed emotions after being unable to attend his best friend Davido and Chioma’s star-studded white wedding in Miami.
Taking to Instagram, the nightlife entrepreneur revealed that his absence was due to visa troubles with the U.S. Embassy. He wrote:
“Woke up this morning with mixed feelings, I’m happy and still sad at the same time. Sometimes God has a way of making you understand that you are powerless regardless of all you may think you have.
I appreciate the bashing because that has given me multiple reasons to apply again. @usinnigeria do it for me this time… You can clearly see how disappointed and hurt the world is to see me absent at my best friend’s wedding”
Cubana Chief Priest, however, noted that his wife, _deangels, and family were present to represent him at the event, adding that he was there “in body and spirit.”
“Delay is never denial… The pain is really paining,” he added, while expressing hope of being granted entry to “the greatest country in the world” soon.
The grand wedding, tagged #ChiVido2025, has continued to dominate social media with clips and pictures from the luxury celebration.
Davido recently revealed the jaw-dropping cost of his highly anticipated wedding to Chioma.
In a video from a lively bar gathering with friends, the singer is seen laughing as he declared:
“We spent $3.7 million cash on the wedding, so you should know what we are doing.”
The statement drew loud cheers and laughter from those around him.
The CHIVIDO wedding festivities are taking place in Miami, with the grand white wedding set for Sunday.
WITHIN NIGERIA earlier reported that Davido and Chioma’s pre-wedding celebration took place in Miami on Friday night, August 8.
The intimate but star-studded event drew several celebrity guests, including Zlatan, Teni, Adekunle Gold, B-Red, Tunde Ednut, and Soso Soberekon.
In the clips and photos from the night, Davido is seen wearing a wide-brim hat, a pastel blue blazer with patterned detailing, white trousers, and layered chains, posing with Chioma, who wore a white one-shoulder mini dress with matching strappy heels.
Adekunle Gold appeared in an all-black flowery detailed outfit accessorized with sunglasses and a chain, while Teni sported a white cowboy hat, dark shades, and a black-and-white shirt. Other moments showed B-Red, Soso Soberekon, and many others sharing laughs with the groom, and enjoying the festivities.
Same Friday, earlier on August 8, bride and groom, Davido and Chioma began trending over a sultry video of them. The Afrobeats superstar was caught on camera getting hands-on with his wife in Miami, and social media has had plenty to say.
