Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has opened up about his deep bond with fellow actor Ademola Allwell, describing their relationship as one built on love, loyalty, and mutual respect.
Speaking on Biola Bayo’s Talk to B podcast, Rotimi revealed that he often calls Allwell his “girlfriend” or “babe” but clarified that their connection is purely platonic. He shared:
“She’s a beautiful soul, a sweet person, and God placed her in my life to protect me from so many things.”
Rotimi praised Allwell’s fiercely protective nature, noting that she has fought countless battles on his behalf. “Even when I don’t fight for her, she fights for me. I can’t even match her energy,” he admitted with a laugh.
He shared that he fondly refers to her at times as his “mother,” “sister,” or even “guru,” explaining that he gravitates toward older women because of their wisdom and ability to offer guidance and protection.
While fans may speculate about romance, Rotimi insisted he values their friendship too much to risk it. He continued:
“Friendship lasts longer. God sent her into my life for a purpose, and she’s fulfilling that role. Everybody needs an ‘Allwell’ in their corner.”
In June, Rotimi and his wife celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. Sharing goofy photos of themselves, the actor noted that they have been conquering the world for 10 years. Expressing gratitude to his Maker, he cheered to many more years of winning and uplifting one another.
The couple are blessed with two kids.
