Leave music keh – Reactions as Olamide opens up on quitting music, motivation behind latest EP [VIDEO]
  • Ace Nigerian rapper and singer Olamide recently opened up about his latest body of work, Ikigai and what inspired it.
  • During an interview, the rapper shared why he decided to step away from doing music and performing it on stage.
  • He also shared what inspired his active return to music and why he chose to name his new body of work ‘Ikigai’.

Rapper, singer, and record label owner Olamide Adedeji, better known as Olamide Baddo, is one of the longest-serving hip-hop artists in Nigeria’s music industry.

His latest release, titled Ikigai, has achieved remarkable success. Among the tracks featured in this project, two notable songs are Hello Habibi and Metaverse.

In a recent chat, Olamide opened up about his new EP and the inspiration behind it after taking a nearly four-year break from music.

His last album before Ikigai was Carpe Diem, which dropped in 2020.
