A fan has lambasted Nigerian singer DJ Cuppy on microblogging social media platform Twitter.
DJ Cuppy has over the years been pulling weights in the Nigerian music industry as a disc jockey and a musician, but it appears the songstress efforts did not impress the fan.
The fan identified as Benji on Twitter called out DJ Cuppy while comparing her to trending singer Tems, who got major spotlight following her collaboration with Wizkid on a song titled ‘Essence’.
The fan stated Tems attained a height DJ Cuppy ought to have achieved three years ago. “Tems did what Cuppy was supposed to do 3 years ago”.
The tweet got Cuppy’s attention; she defended herself, saying her voice isn’t as good as that of Tems. “Haba, NO WAY – especially not with the kind of singing voice I was born with #FreeCuppy #RebelGang”.
