I’m Proud Of Myself For Focusing On School, Now I’m Back To DJing – DJ Cuppy

DJ Cuppy

Respected female Disc Jockey, DJ Cuppy, has confirmed she is now open to receiving shows and events after going on a short hiatus to focus on education.

The 29-year-old who was away for African Studies, her third Master’s Degree, at the Oxford University, said in a series of videos shared on her Instagram stories that she missed doing what she loves while in school.

DJ Cuppy, real name Florence Otedola, noted that if she didn’t put a pause on her music profession, she wouldn’t have been able to attend the world-class institution.

In the videos sighted by WithinNigeria, she said, “I feel like the worst part of struggling with academics in Oxford is the fact that I haven’t been able to do what I love.

“I love music. I love DJing. I love working, and it’s been hard. I’m really proud of myself for sticking through and I cannot wait to get back to DJing and get back to being Cuppy again.

“A lot of people ask me what my advice is, for people who do not want to be put in one box and pursue things outside their usual career.

“My advice is focus. You have to focus. If I didn’t stop DJing, then I wouldn’t have been able to take on the pressure and requirements Oxford has on me.”
