Nollywood actor Saheed Balogun has reacted after he was reported to have sponsored the attempted release of his embattled colleague Baba Ijesha from the police custody following his arrest for molesting a minor.
It was earlier reported by an Instagram blogger, Gistlovers that Saheed Balogun is among Nollywood stars working towards the release of Baba Ijesha.
The blogger revealed that Saheed Balogun is being investigated as a huge amount of money has been paid for the release of Baba Ijesha.
Reacting to the news making the rounds on social media, the actor in a video shared on his Instagram page refuted the claims saying he has never been in touch with Baba Ijesha since the incident.
He added that he is totally against child rape or abuse as such claims on sponsoring the release of Baba Ijesha is an attempt to smear his reputation.
According to Saheed Balogun, he has been silent on the case to allow the law to have its due course.
