Eyewitnesses and online reports indicate that tensions flared, resulting in a physical confrontation between the two unidentified students.
The incident occurred near the old Mass Communication Department block, along the path that houses the Department of Estate Management and Urban and Regional Planning.
In a video circulating widely on the internet, the two students can be seen exchanging slaps and blows while surrounded by a group of onlookers.
Despite attempts by bystanders to intervene and diffuse the situation, the two fighting females continued to exchange blows until they eventually fell to the ground, where the altercation continued.

In other news, A yet to be identified Auchi Polytechnic student was filmed dragging a lecturer by the shirt and fighting him for preventing her from taking an exam.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the lecturer had reportedly given the student a malpractice form, meaning she would have to retake the exam.
This, however, angered the student and she attacked him after the exam.
Video shared online shows her fighting her lecturer despite efforts by her course mates to pry her away from the helpless man.
