One person has been feared killed and many confirmed injured when armed thugs attacked the Soka residence of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to PUNCH, Igboho’s lead lawyer, Yomi Aliyyu (SAN), who confirmed the attack in a telephone chat said the armed thugs stormed the agitator’s residence and macheted some of his associates, leaving one of his aides dead.
Aliyyu said the hoodlums attacked the same house of the agitator that the Department of State Services, DSS attacked on July 1, 2021.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, is yet t comment on the incident as at the time of filling this report.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that DSS officers raided Igboho’s residence around 1.34am on on July 1, 2021, following intelligence reports that he was stockpiling arms.
The secret police killed two of the agitator’s associates and arrested 12 others who were released months later.
