Gov Bagudu wins APC Kebbi Central senatorial ticket

Kebbi Governor Atiku Bagudu has defeated incumbent Adamu Aleiro to pick the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket for Kebbi Central .

Bagudu scored 445 votes though Aliero had withdrawn from the race few hours to commencement of the primary.

The returning Officer Hon. Kelechi Njoku said 445 delegates drawn from the eight local government areas of the district were accredited and all of them voted for Bagudu.

Bagudu thanked all the delegates and urged them to mobilise more people to the party.

Also, Hon. Husaini Sulaiman Kangiwa won Kebbi North senatorial ticket unopposed as his opponent Saidu Dakingaro, a former Kebbi Governor, withdrew from the race before the primary. .
