Julius Abure, the National Chairman of Labour Party has stated that it is in the interest of the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso to serve as the running mate of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi in the 2023 elections.

Considering the possibility of merger of Labour Party (LP) and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for the coming 2023 presidential election, there have been a debate about who among the presidential candidates of both parties would serve as a running mate.

Speaking on the development, Julius Abure disclosed that Peter Obi has the credentials and the most popular presidential candidate as we speak.

The party chairman, Julius Abure via a tweet posted on the party’s official handle yesterday’s evening said, it would be in the interest to run with Peter Obi who ”is the man of the moment.
