Christophe Galtier, the new manager of Paris Saint-Germain, has prohibited club stars such as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar from using mobile phones in the club’s canteen.

According to Marca, this is part of the new regime’s strict rules to restore discipline to the club.

Mauricio Pochettino was fired after the Ligue 1 giants endured a disappointing Champions League season the previous year. He was succeeded by Christophe Galtier.

PSG is currently in Japan to prepare for the upcoming season and to familiarise themselves with their new coach’s methods and style of play.

And now Marca reports that Galtier has stopped the use of phones while players are having breakfast and lunch in a bid to bring the squad closer and bring about more unity.

The manager has also directed all players to have their meals together at the club’s Camp des Loges and this is to avoid any cliques emerging.

Also the players will not report to training by anything more than 8:30 and 8:45 and will be sent home for lateness without a valid and reasonable explanation.
