Dr. Peter Mbah, Enugu state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, has named Chief Ikeje Asogwa, a former state party chairman, as the director general of his campaign.
Mbah stated that Asogwa will coordinate, supervise, and direct all facets of the PDP’s electioneering for the state’s governorship election in 2023 in a statement released by the Head, Peter Mbah Media Office.
The statement read in parts:
“I’m happy to announce Chief Ikeje Asogwa as the Director General of the Peter Mbah Campaign Organization.
“Chief Asogwa brings on board a wealth of experience as a former Chairman of our great party in Enugu State. He will energize the campaign with his characteristic charisma, ebullience, grasp of politics and mastery of political strategy and effective communications.
“As the Director General, he will coordinate, oversee and drive all aspects of the PDP electioneering for the resounding victory of our party in the 2023 governorship election in the State.”
The statement added that other appointments will be announced in the coming days and weeks.
Asogwa is a former two-term Managing Director of the Enugu State Housing Development Corporation and until his present appointment the Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Commission (EN-SUBEB).
