APC Suffers Setback As 216 Party Members Join PDP In Kebbi

Over 200 All Progressives Congress (APC) members are alleged to have defected to the People’s Democratic Party in Kebbi State over the weekend (PDP).

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu is the APC chieftain in charge of Kebbi State at the moment. Additionally, the defectors, who number 216 in total, came from the state’s Kofar Kola region, which is thought to be a stronghold of the country’s ruling party.

According to reports, the defectors in the region comprise 134 male and 84 female APC members.

A.M. BK, a former provost of the state’s Adamu Augie College of Education, Alhaji Atiku Bandado, Alhaji Gwandu Mai Kifi, Alhaji Yahaya Lele, a former special assistant to the governor, and Alhaji Yahaya Lele are notable politicians among them.

According to information obtained, the PDP in-state governorship candidate Gen. Aminu Bande (rtd), the governorship campaign council’s director general Alhaji Abubakar Shehu, the party’s publicity secretary Alhaji Sani Dododo, and other party chieftains welcomed the politicians into the opposition camp.
