Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, hosted his counterparts in Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and other G5 governors in the commercial city of Aba on Thursday.
Recall that the G5 governors are calling for the resignation of National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu.
The aggrieved PDP governors have said the agreement was that Ayu would resign if a northerner emerged as the presidential candidate of the party, for a southerner to replace him.
It was gathered that the governors who are also part of a larger aggrieved group known as the Integrity Group converged on Abia State for the state’s PDP campaign flag off.
