2023: A Vote For Obi Is A Vote For Atiku – Deji Adeyanju Gives Reason

Deji Adeyanju, an Abuja-based socio-political activist, has come out to explain why he declared that a vote for the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is a vote for his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

Given that Obi is Atiku’s running mate in the 2019 general election, he believes both candidates are business partners.

It should be noted that Obi served as Atiku’s running mate during the PDP’s presidential campaign in 2019.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that Adetanju advised Nigerians in a series of Twitter posts to vote for a candidate who has never stolen public funds because Nigeria needs a fresh start.

He urged Labour Party members who prefer Obi stepping down for his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Bola Tinubu, rather than Atiku, to do so.

Adeyanju stated that if he stepped down for Tinubu, there will be no need to split the South’s votes because the South would be agitating against another northerner as president.

The activist wrote:

A vote for Obi is a vote for Atiku. Don’t forget they are both business partners and ran together in 2019. Vote a candidate that has never stolen public funds before; clean start for Nigeria.

Since Labor Party folks are saying they don’t mind Tinubu instead of Atiku, so why not prevail upon your candidate to step down for Asiwaju so as not to split the votes of the South since you guys are doing South United to prevent another northerner? This suggestion is very good.
