Ogenyi Okpoku, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has slammed Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi for dining with governors he describes as failures.

On Thursday evening, he stated this during an interview on Channel Television’s Politics Today program.

While accusing the former Anambra State governor of patronizing failures, the APC stalwart said Obi-Datti campaign members are failures.

He said:

The first point of call of Mr Peter Obi is failure. He is patronizing failures. If you check the people that surround his campaign, they’re failures; people that are not able to take responsibility for their actions.

Yes, I will say that. I don’t want even to go into aspect of his DG that was convicted.
“The governors that surround Peter Obi, they are all failures.

There are governors he goes to visit regularly; people that have failed their various states that Obi patronizes on daily basis.

Tanko Reveals When Peter Obi, LP Will Name Okupe’s Replacement

Yunusa Tanko, spokesperson for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, has revealed that Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi is expected to announce a new campaign Director-General to replace embattled Doyin Okupe before the end of the week.

Okupe resigned from his position on Tuesday, according to WITHIN NIGERIA, following a Federal High Court ruling in Abuja that found him guilty of violating the Money Laundering Act.

Okupe stated in a letter to Obi that despite all odds, he remains fully committed to his presidential ambition.

Tanko told The PUNCH today that the new DG would be announced within the next 48 hours, in reference to Okupe’s replacement as the party continues its campaign rally across states.

He did, however, point out that the selection of a new campaign director is a collective decision, not an individual preference, as some have claimed.

Tanko stated that a meeting is currently taking place and that decisions are being made at the highest level of the campaign council.
