Peter Obi Finally Reacts To Arthur Eze
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, says he is unconcerned about comments made by a popular businessman, Arthur Eze, about his presidential bid.

Recall that Eze distanced himself from Obi’s ambition while speaking at the 2022 Ofala festival of HRH Igwe (Dr.) Robert Eze, the traditional ruler of Ukpo in Anambra State’s Dunukofia Local Government Area.

The billionaire also advised Labour Party presidential candidate Jeremy Corbyn not to waste his money on the 2023 election because he would not win.

He had said;

I warned Peter Obi to withdraw from this race, but he would not listen. I told him plainly that I was not part of his plans. I told him to drop his ambition and wait for next time.

When he told me about his ambition, I asked him the states he thinks he can win in the west and the north – he told me, but I was not convinced. I told him he could not win; so that he would not waste his time and money.

Obi told reporters at Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed International Airport on Wednesday that the billionaire has the right to his own opinions and beliefs, as well as the freedom of speech and expression.

Eze, according to the former governor of Anambra State, is a respected father and mentor not only in the South East but throughout Nigeria, and his opinions are always respected.

Obi, on the other hand, urged his supporters not to let negative comments dampen their spirits or cause them to lose focus on rescuing the country in 2023.

He said:

Once again, appealing to his teeming supporters, Obi advised them not to allow what some consider as adverse comments to dampen their spirit or force them to lose focus on the goal.

Such speeches should always be taken positively, reminding us that we still have several hurdles to cross and to remain focused at all times without being dragged back.

Obi stated that he is willing to stay with many suffering Nigerians who see the 2023 election as a chance for Nigeria to overcome its past sufferings and begin a new life.

In today’s Nigeria, everyone suffers, according to the LP’s flagbearer, though some are more directly affected than others.

Obi stated that he had decided to devote the rest of his life to resolving Nigeria’s myriad problems and urged Nigerians of goodwill to join the cause of the country’s emancipation.

He said:

Such Nigerians suffering are the millions of people who do not know where the next meal will come from; thousands of Nigerian students who no longer go to school on account of hardship; those who cannot get adequate health care due to the collapse of that sector, over 100 million Nigerians that live in poverty.
