Alhaji Rasheed Adesokan, the Yorubaland Balogun Mumini, has passed away.

According to sources, it was discovered that the retired captain passed away on Saturday while being treated at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.

Adesokan served as the Baale of Bodija in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, until his passing.

The family has not released any information regarding his burial.

A source close to the deceased’s family, in a short statement made available to newsmen said, “Inalillah waina ilaehi rojiun.

“Baale Rasheed Adesokan, Balogun Mumini of Yorubaland, died today 3rd of Ramadan at UCH.

“May Allah blot out his sins accept his multifarious and multidimensional acts of Ibadah and reward him with jannat Firdaous”.
