The programme Of events for the 2023 Presidential Inauguration has been released by the Presidential Transition Council (PTC).
Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration will take place on May 29, 2023, according to PTC chairman and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, who was speaking to a global press conference on Thursday in Abuja. This is true despite the ongoing legal proceedings before the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).
When asked if the May 29 inauguration would be postponed until the Court made its final decision on the subjects at hand, Mustapha said nothing would prevent the inauguration from taking place as scheduled.
Meanwhile, speaking on the activities lined up ahead of the inauguration, he said the principal venues for the inauguration are the Eagle Square, International Conference Center and State House Banquet Hall.
Mustapha noted that the Eagle Square can only accommodate 5,000 people, hence only a selected number of people representing all strata fo the Nigerian society can attend the inauguration.
The PTC also said the venues for the inauguration were ready and good to go.
