The 10th National Assembly, according to Representative Sergius Ogun, will be a “Rubber stamp Promax.”

This was revealed on Monday in an interview with Channels Television by Ogun, who previously served on the ad hoc committee on petroleum downstream and represents the Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in the Edo state.

He thinks it is regrettable that the APC attempts to impose itself as the National Assembly’s leader.

He claimed that the circumstance will serve as the National Assembly’s independence’s final funeral.

“By putting names to the zoning of National Assembly Leadership, it would be a rubber stamp Promax”, he said.

In a statement early this Month, APC publicity secretary Felix Morka announced former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio and Abbass Tajudeen, as endorsed candidates for Senate President and Reps Speaker positions.

However, party members interested in occupying the positions have openly shown their displeasure.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the 10 National Assembly would be inaugurated in June after the swearing-in of the incoming government on 29th May, 2023.
