  • Akpabio read Tinubu’s ministerial list at the plenary on Thursday
  • Shehu Sani described some of the nominees as ‘snake’

Shehu Sani, a former Senator from Kaduna State, has alleged that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rewarded ‘some vultures’ for playing Judas in the last general elections.

Shehu Sani disclosed this on Thursday on his official Twitter handle while reacting to Tinubu’s Ministerial list.

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that the Senate President Godswill Akpabio read Tinubu’s ministerial list at the plenary on Thursday, which contained the names of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, and 26 other nominees.

Reacting, Sani described some of the nominees as serpents with a known history of betrayal.

“The Ministerial list; The President embraced some Serpents with a known history of treachery and rewarded some vultures for playing the Judas. Appeasing a snake in a palace doesn’t spare the King”, Sani tweeted.

Some Nigerians have taken to social media to berate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the 28-man ministerial nominees list he submitted to the National Assembly for screening and confirmation.

While some commended the president over the list, others netizens, however, have condemned the list, describing it as the recycling of old politicians who, in the past, have wrecked the country.

Meanwhile, some bigwigs in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC who were expected to form President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet were conspicuously missing from the ministerial list unveiled on Thursday.

Contrary to speculations that the former governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, the former governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola and other stalwarts in the party who fought for Tinubu’s victory during the February 25 presidential election would be nominated, they were not included in the list.

Though there have been insinuations that Ganduje and Oyetola will occupy the All Progressive Congress leadership seats.

Names of former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo and other chieftains of the party were also missing from the long-awaited list.
