Residents have been asked to stop sharing videos and voice recordings of one Mr. West Robinson discussing criminal activity in the territory by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.
In an interview with Daily Post, SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, claimed that CP Haruna G. Garba, the command’s Commissioner of Police, had told the people to cease sharing the audio and video messages.
According to the PPRO, the video that is currently going viral is spreading fear and terror throughout the city.
It was mentioned in a viral video where a man identified as West Robinson described how some criminal elements are wreaking havoc in the city.
According to the video, the miscreants, who are mostly from Northern States, use foreign plate numbers to escape after committing heinous crimes in the federal capital.
However, SP Josephine said, “there’s an ongoing clampdown on the vehicles described (vehicles with foreign number plate) in the narrative”.
According to her, “the command is committed to improving the overall security towards the protection of lives and properties of residents without fear or favor”.
