It appears we will not hear any time soon the last of the deepening security crisis that has plagued Abuja for months on end as armed non-state actors continue to wreak havoc in the beleaguered city.

Barely couple of days after kidnapping two teenage sisters, the gunmen, suspected to be bandits, have now turned their attention to top government official in the FCT.

The rampaging bandits on Thursday morning reportedly kidnapped a director at the Federal Housing Authority in the Federal Capital Territory, Aondo Ver.

It’s gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday at about 12:30 am in Pambara New Extension, Bwari Area Council.

It’s gathered that Pambara New Extension is about 200 metres from the military camp and checkpoint in Bwari Central Area.

The fearsome assailants were said to have gained access to the victim’s residence through the fence after cutting the barbed wires.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, has not issued a statement on the incident as of the time of filing this report
