  • Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, APC National Chairman, criticizes NNPP as a faction of unsuccessful politicians orchestrating protests against him
  • Ganduje asserts President Tinubu’s firm candidacy for a second term, dismissing NNPP’s alleged ambitions to usurp Tinubu’s position

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has launched scathing remarks against the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), branding it as a faction comprised of unsuccessful politicians.

During an address to a coalition of support groups at the APC national secretariat, Ganduje accused NNPP leaders of orchestrating protests aimed at ousting him from his position within the APC.

Former governor of Kano State, Ganduje singled out certain prominent figures within the NNPP, alleging their ambitions to usurp President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s position. He asserted Tinubu’s firm candidacy for a second presidential term, dismissing any opposition’s chances.

Amidst claims of growing apprehension among NNPP ranks, Ganduje urged steadfast loyalty among APC supporters, dismissing what he termed as mere political theatrics employed by detractors.

Ganduje admonished against succumbing to distractions, highlighting the need to remain focused on the APC’s objectives. He condemned what he referred to as orchestrated protests funded by the Kano State Government, branding NNPP as a “micro party” plagued by internal strife and comprising both authentic and counterfeit members.

In Ganduje’s view, NNPP’s attempts to undermine the APC through protests and political maneuvers are indicative of their inability to garner significant support nationwide, portraying them as a party in decline and disarray.

The APC chairman concluded by urging vigilance among party members and dismissing NNPP’s actions as futile attempts by a faction of disenchanted and ineffectual politicians.
