Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has pledged to initiate a thorough investigation into the administration of governance in the state preceding his tenure. This commitment came to light during the swearing-in ceremony of Mr. Dagogo Israel Iboroma, SAN, as the new Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, held at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday.

In addressing Mr. Iboroma, Governor Fubara underscored the critical juncture at which his appointment arrives, amid a landscape rife with legal challenges demanding resolute action. Expressing his expectations, the governor articulated, “Dagogo Iboroma, you are stepping into the role of our State’s Attorney-General at a pivotal moment. SSG, please provide him with his letter; he now holds the position.”

He further emphasized the gravity of the tasks ahead, stating, “We face numerous challenges. It is imperative that you do not simply acquiesce to directives but act with the courage and integrity befitting your office.”
