The minority caucus of the house of Representatives has called on the federal government to engage in constructive dialogue with protest organizers to address their concerns.

This appeal was made at the end of their special meeting and dinner in Abuja.

The Chairman Kingsley Chinda emphasized the need for the government to listen to the protesters’ grievances and address the critical areas that require intervention.

He stressed the importance of finding a peaceful resolution to the issues raised.

Chinda expressed concerns about the country’s security situation, noting that even peaceful protests can be taken over by miscreants.

He advised against encouraging protests, citing the risk of chaos and instability.

The caucus chairman also urged the government to adopt a comprehensive approach to addressing security challenges.

He called for a balanced approach that combines firmness with empathy to ensure the safety and protection of Nigerians.

Furthermore, the caucus highlighted the need for economic empowerment to address the widespread hunger and desperation among citizens.

They appealed to the government to create opportunities for self-reliance, rather than just providing temporary palliatives.

The dinner meeting was an opportunity for the caucus to express gratitude to its members for their support and solidarity.

Chinda acknowledged the importance of unity and cooperation in addressing the challenges facing the country.
