This is the second time this year that Kaiama will make the headlines for a tragic and unfortunate incident.
At least eight people have lost their lives in an explosion in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
The explosion happened on Monday after an improvised explosive device, IED, was detonated by terrorists along Luma Road.
According to reports, the explosive struck a moving vehicle with the terrorists also reportedly vandalising a bridge linking three communities – Luma, Babanna and Agwara.
The bridge serves as a vital route for residents, particularly traders and commuters travelling to the Babanna border market, which is held every Monday.
In related development, an explosion was also reported in Woro, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, on Monday.
Many people were reportedly killed in the attack. This is the second time this year that Kaiama will make the headlines for a tragic and unfortunate incident.
In February, at least 162 people were killed when terrorists attacked communities in the local government.
