In recent chat with Pearlsnews, delectable actress, Jennifer Obodo recalled her encounter with lesbians in the industry.

According to the Imo State Graduate of Leadcity University Ibadan, there might be lots of lesbianism accusations in the industry, but it’s none of her business because she is very Straight.

“Lesbianism is their cup of tea. I know about myself only. So, I can’t say much because I am so straight and will forever be straight. I have had some encounters with some lesbians but only on social media and I blocked those ones immediately. The fact that I was even approached made me feel awkward. It made me ask myself; ‘Do I really look like one’?

On the challenges she had faced at the early stage of her career, the light skinned diva said: “It wasn’t as bad as I expected. But some fake people who are not up to who they tell you they are would attempt to have a relationship with you in exchange of a role.

All they have in mind is just to have a taste of you and go. I met so many people like that which made me almost gave up. Because it is something I really had passion for, I decided to stay away for a while and get to understand the industry better. Then I made more of the real contacts before coming back full time.”

Sharing some ideas on how to make the Nigerian movie industry better, Jennifer opined that: “We have to be more creative in the way we tell our stories. It is obvious we want to tell same story, but the angle you are telling it from matters. It should be more about the twist and turns. We also need to grow young actors, we should learn how to transcend to the next level and not using older artists to play a role of a teenager. We have so many wonderful actors out there who can play young characters well,” she told Pearlsnews
