And she and her parents have bought the building in Seoul’s posh Gangnam district for $8 million (£6.4 million). The building was built in 1975 on 258.3 square meters of land.

It’s unclear exactly why the family has bought the structure. Boram Tube Vlog has 17.5 million subscribers, and her Boram Tube ToyReview has reeled in 13.6 million subscribers.

Boram is one of the most-followed Korean YouTube creators.

Boram is not the only youngster Youtube star making money, according to Forbes, the highest-earning YouTuber last year was seven-year-old Ryan Kaji, the American star of Ryan ToysReview.

In 2018, Ryan Kaji earned an estimated $22 million (£17.7 million) through his channel, which has attracted more than 20.8 million subscribers.

Other young stars include five-year-old American Tydus, who appears on his family’s YouTube channel Trav and Cor, which has 3.1 million subscribers.

The news channel said YouTubers make money in a number of ways, including through taking a cut of the ads that play on their videos, and by partnering with brands to sell merchandise or include products in their content.

Boram, for instance, sometimes links out to products featured in her video reviews.
