Nollywood actress and movie producer, Funke Akindele, who lost her father, weeks ago, has reportedly boycotted his burial, along with her siblings.

And it was alleged that the development annoyed the Bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Ikorodu, Rt. Rev Samson Osundina, who expressed his disappointment that the actress and her siblings did not attend their father’s funeral.

Funke’s dad, Revd. Godwin Olusoji Akindele, died on Saturday, December 7, 2019, after a brief illness, aged 73.

Delivering the burial sermon, Rev. Osundina appreciated the children for taking care of their father when he was ill, but stressed the fact that them paying him the last respect as children was very important and significant. .

He then suspended the usual outing and thanksgiving service which are final programes in Christian’s burial, till the deceased’s children are available to attend.
