Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 19-year-old boy identified as Rafiu Adelena for allegedly drugging and raping a 52-year-old landlady identified simply as Alhaja in Ogun state.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the suspect who stays with his parents at a rented apartment at Ilesan Remo community in Ogun State was handed over to the police after being caught in the act.
The 19-year-old suspect confessed to the crime and revealed that he spiked a food Alhaja ate with a sleeping pill his mother kept in the room.
He reportedly undressed the elderly lady after confirming that she had fallen asleep, and had sex with her thereafter.
Adelana met his waterloo after he was caught by the landlady’s daughter, Lafiyat Ajeige who returned home from school.
The mother of the suspect, Mrs. Bolanle Adelena who has been interrogated by the police disclosed that she takes the drug whenever she finds it difficult to sleep.
The suspect will reportedly be charged to court after investigation has been concluded.
