Tragedy struck in Idogido community on Monday as a Nigerian man identified as Hussain Zubairu allegedly killed a pregnant woman identified as Bose Muhammad with scissors in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi state.
The suspect, Hussain Zubairu has been arrested by the Kogi State Police Command for killing the deceased with scissors over a mere disagreement.
According to eyewitness account, Hussain Zubairu and Bose Muhammed are neighbours at the Idogido area of Okene. Zubair stabbed the pregnant woman over an argument on missing phone, the source disclosed.
The deceased who was heavily pregnant was rushed to hospital in the areas but later died due to the too much bleeding, source added.
As the time of filing this report, the deceased has been buried according to Islamic rites and the suspect who was later arrested by Okene Police Division is currently being remanded in Police station.
Reacting to the tragic incident, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya confirmed the incident and revealed that the case has been transfered to the Department of Criminal Investigation, noting that the suspect will soon be charged to court to face the wrath of the law after investigation.
