Following the outbreak of Coronavirus in Nigeria and emergence of new cases of the deadly disease across the country, Nasarawa has recorded its first coronavirus case.

This was disclosed by Nasarawa Governor Abdullahi Sule during a press briefing in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa state.

Governor Abdullahi Sule said that it is sad to announce that Nasarawa has recorded the first case from this lady that travelled from Kano to Kokona local government area of the state.

Sule stated that we already evacuated the lady from Kokona to Lafia where we have better facilities to take care of her.

“We have also isolated the family where she came from so that we can conduct a proper test to ensure that her family members are not infected, ” Sule stated.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the management of Federal Medical Centre, Keffi in Nasarawa State said on Thursday that a family of 5 have been quarantined over suspicion of being infected with the novel coronavirus.
