Nigerian comedian and Naval officer, Abdulgafar Abiola aka CuteAbiola, has been arrested by the Nigerian Navy for celebrating his birthday by posing in his official uniform on social media.
According to report, the popular Instagram comedian was arrested around 7pm on Wednesday, April, 29, 2020 in Lagos and is currently being held at a Naval facility in Apapa.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Cute Abiola popularly known as Ankara Gucci happily took to his social media page to share a piece of good news with his fans, flaunting video of a car gift he got from someone he described as boss on his official Instagram page, while also celebrating his birthday by posing in his paramilitary uniform.
Meanwhile, his apprehension may not be unconnected to his pictures in the paramilitary’s uniform to mark his birthday.
Even as sources confirmed that he was detained over the picture of him in full Navy Camouflage that went viral on his Birthday. The comedian posted the picture on his Instagram page for the purpose of his birthday celebration on Thursday, April 28th, 2020.
Lots of celebrities and entertainers picked up the picture and reposted it on their various social media platforms to celebrate the young comedian.
