Borno discharges six more coronavirus patients

Another set of six COVID-19 patients have been discharged in Borno.

Bringing the number of discharged patients in the state on Sunday to 12.

Six patients were earlier discharged by the UMTH on Sunday.

The Committee’s Chairman and Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur, confirmed this in a statement in Maiduguri on Sunday evening.

He explained out of the 12, six were discharged from the UMTH Isolation centre while the remaining six are from state Isolation centre at Bulabulin Ngaranam.

According to him, 22 patients are awaiting the results of their final test and are expected to be discharged in a few days if they negative.

Similarly, Lagos State on Sunday announced the discharge of 21 coronavirus patients from the isolation centres at Onikan, Eti-Osa, First Cardiology Hospital, Lekki and the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in the state.

The Lagos government made the announcement in a tweet via his Twitter account on Sunday stating that the patients, 4 females and 17 males were discharged after full recovery from the virus.
